Engadget (Cheyenne MacDonald, 29 Jun 2025). "Every scenario Chance ends up in is completely ridiculous… none of the puzzles are prohibitively hard, which keeps things feeling light and silly."

Chance is "the luckiest dog in the world", and he needs to be. In this point-and-click adventure he's summoned by the evil genius Snowball, blows a tyre in the fast lane, and from there has to wriggle out of one ridiculous jam after another while the dog-sniffing Officer Jane closes in. The store page says it's "inspired by 80s cartoons and absurdist comedy films". It plays out over six short chapters, and besides pointing and clicking you'll use the crank, the accelerometer and even the microphone (blowing out birthday candles, for one), with "absolutely no effort or precision" needed on the crank.
It's a side story to Goloso Games' Inspector Waffles series. The art is by Julia Minamata (known for The Crimson Diamond), with music and sound by Philip Aldous. Reviewers agree it's short (Playdate Unofficial puts it at about an hour) and gentle: there's no dying and no soft-locks.
It came out in Week 5 of Playdate Season Two (26 June 2025) alongside Tiny Turnip, and now sells for $3 in the Catalog. It was a finalist for Best Adventure Game at the 2025 Playdate Community Awards, and a sequel, Chance's Lucky Escape 2, is part of Season Three.

Chance, "the luckiest dog in the world", lurches from car chase to sewer to sinking chair. A short, silly point-and-click that uses the crank, mic and tilt.
