What it is

Hablet is "a daily-habit, city builder exclusively for the Playdate". The idea is to check in for a few minutes every day to build up a small town with help from the enigmatic Concierge. Instead of menus, you talk to the Concierge to decide what to build. Coming back over real-world days unlocks new tiles ("100s of Buildings"), and you can rearrange the town, cut grass and stack buildings. Skip too many days, though, and "the city will begin to fall to ruin". It uses the crank, D-pad and buttons. The content note mentions "mild absurdist existentialism themes".

It's by PiousPigeon, and it came to the Catalog in May 2025 for $3 (also on itch.io), with updates into 2026 and an official soundtrack. It was a finalist for Best Sim/Strategy Game at the 2025 Playdate Community Awards.

On the card

Spend a few minutes each day building a little town with the Concierge. Let the days slip and the city falls to ruin. Can you beat entropy?
