Hushwater is a sonar stealth game. You pilot a tiny salvage submarine through flooded caves you can't see, looking for two black boxes that are still calling for help, then climb out through the shaft. The catch, in the developer's words: "every ping is a shout in a silent ocean." A creature the page calls the Leviathan, "forty metres long", hears every one.
You crank the sonar to paint the cave walls with echoes and sweep your lamp to read the rock. Tap A for an aimed ping or hold it for a full 360° burst; B switches the lamp, and with the lamp off and the sub still you're invisible. Mines tick before they blow, and their shockwave throws both you and the monsters.
The developer lists procedurally carved caves, five creatures with their own habits, a bestiary that fills in as you survive encounters, nine upgrades, arcade scoring for close calls, a local high-score table and a crank-fed sonar paper roll that teaches you to dive. It was published on itch.io on 29 Oct 2026 for $1.49 or more.
