What it is
jump rope STAR! is just what it sounds like. You swing the rope with the crank, timing each turn to the jumper, a little girl whose rhythm "isn't always consistent", according to Engadget. Perfect swings fill a Star meter, and spending it slows time for extra points. There's a Score Attack mode, and two-player simultaneous modes where two people share one device: one cranks while the other uses the D-pad and buttons to move the girl and catch falling stars. Solo play needs "continuous and fast use of the crank" alongside the D-pad. It has online scoreboards.
It's by Chris Corciega (Soinksters Games). According to Engadget, the art was "designed by a talented 5-year old", Maya. It's been in the Catalog since May 2024 at $3 and is in Panic's "Crank Wonders" collection.
