Mochi

What it is

Mochi is "a small creature who lives in a room on your Playdate." Each morning you pick a few little things for the day, such as drink water, stretch, step outside or thank someone, and when you check in Mochi asks about them one at a time: done, skip or later. Each thing you do lights a bulb on the string lights over the shelf.

"Turn the crank to pet Mochi." The creature leans in and hearts appear, and if you spin too fast the room starts spinning. The D-pad opens quick activities: breathe, stretch, focus, tea, sit and water. The page promises that Mochi "never counts, never nags and never mentions what you didn't do": the room keeps score instead, with a plant that grows a leaf on good weeks and a jar that gets a star for every month you visit. There are no streaks.

The itch.io page lists a 1-bit room that follows your real clock, five task groups (body, mind, rest, outside, people) and six timer activities. It was published on 22 Oct 2026 and updated on 23 Oct 2026; the version 0.4.0 devlog adds bigger text, an option to pet Mochi without the crank, and a Reduce Flashing setting. It's a 1.3 MB .pdx.zip, listed as name-your-own-price, with a Ko-fi link on the page.
