Rae's Solitaire

What it is

"For having fun or killing time; patience is a virtue." Rae says they'd been getting into solitaire and one night thought, "I wanna play some solitaire on my Playdate," so they made it.

The Catalog page calls it "robust, and ridiculously customizable." You can adjust play settings to suit your style, pick from preset visual settings, or "draw and import your own deck of cards." Playdate-specific touches include easy undo, "extensive use of the Playdate's crank to make your life easier," and an automatic suspend that lets you pick a game up where you left off. Games include Klondike, Spiderette and Yukon, "maybe more." Timers can be turned off, and a "Large Print" deck helps with visibility. The crank is optional.

Rae's Solitaire came out in the Playdate Catalog on 27 Oct 2026 at $7, with a 29% launch discount to $5 when we checked. It's also sold on itch.io. The source code is on GitHub, and Rae has an online manual. The developer declares that no generative AI was used.
