Ship Happens is "an ONLINE strategic twist on the classic battleship game, designed for Playdate". Matches use unusual board layouts and special powers "that keep every match unpredictable". You can play two-player pass-and-play on one device, online against another Playdate owner, or solo to practise. It uses all the buttons and the crank, with no precision needed.
It's by ZokerinoDev & GEM, released in the Catalog in November 2025 for $6, with updates into March 2026. It's a Panic Staff Pick: "An excellent two-player experience."
