What it is

The store page sums it up: "Snak is Snake plus jump." You can hop your snake's head over its own body to avoid a crash. The apples fight back, though. Miss one and it latches onto your body and crawls toward your head, and the only fix is to jump over yourself at the exact spot and bite it off. There are several speeds (more A's in "Snaaaake" means faster) and an online leaderboard. It's buttons only: Gage writes on the store page that, coming from touch-screen games, what excited him about the Playdate was the buttons, because "they're self-confirming—you feel them press in".

It's by Zach Gage (stfj), known for SpellTower and Really Bad Chess, and it unlocked in Week 9 of Season One alongside Sasquatchers, free with the console. It's a tiny 290.9 KB download.

On the card

Snake plus jump. Hop over your own tail, and bite off the apples that latch onto your back before they reach your head.
