The Haunting at Fox Hollow is a cozy, spooky creature-spotting adventure for Playdate. On Halloween night, Lochlan (7, ghost hunter) and his little sister Ophelia (5, a bat) explore their neighbourhood with Grandpa's old crank camera and a flashlight that glows green near strange things. Every creature they find goes in the Spookodex.
You sweep the flashlight to spot shimmers, rest under street lamps to recharge its battery, then raise the camera and crank to bring the creature into focus while it wriggles, "part bird-watching, part fishing." Each catch rolls a power tier from Faint to Mythic. There are eight creatures to find, then a Game+ with wilder ones, a second Spookodex and an ending. It was published on itch.io on 2 Nov 2026, listed at $1 but 100% off (free) when checked, and is marked In development.
