What it is
"The year is 2052..." After a Global Peace Treaty and the founding of the Global Space Agency, the ship Physis 5 sets out to find a planet that can sustain human life while Earth recovers. You're the newbie on board. Time From Earth is "a narrative adventure game" built around a day-by-day routine: talk to everyone, do your tasks (Simberg mentions planting vegetables and fixing problems), play simple minigames that keep the journey going, then head back to your quarters to start the next day. Along the way you learn what happened in the 30 years before the flight and uncover a mystery. Simberg counts twelve days, each up to about ten minutes, with a save between days. There's no crank and no need for speed or precision.
It's by Pixel Ghost (Life's Too Short, Shadowgate PD). It's made in Pulp and is only 317 KB. It came to the Catalog in May 2023 for $3 (also on itch.io) and is in Panic's "Great Stories" collection.
